NY to NC

Last week I traveled back to good ole Winston Salem to visit two of my nearest and dearest friends for their birthdays. Given how bitterly cold and generally miserable this winter has been, it was the perfect mini-vacation to reconnect and relax with some pals.

Of course, on top of seeing the marvelous Bailey and Sarah, I got to explore some of the new spots in WSNC:

The Quiet Pint for some dinner and, yes, pints

(though barely seen here, I’ll describe my outfit given the nature of this blog:

Small Batch Beer Co., where I’ve been dying to try some local brews, but had yet to have the chance. We also got to catch up with some of my favorite Mullenites of yore while there:

Got to hit up a favorite spot, Camino Bakery, with my favorite short stack, Kyra:

We also had an incredibly delicious brunch at The Porch – I can’t wait to go back here again every time I visit!

And we of course spent a sufficient amount of my visit doing this:

What an amazing and much needed weekend! I can’t wait for my next visit this summer for Salute Wine Festival to celebrate a dear friend’s bachelorette party – definitely one of my favorite events of the year!
